Why I Started the “TOEIC Mastery & Real English” Journey (And Why You Should Join Me)
Once Upon a Time in Japan…
Hey everyone, I’m Hideic—a totally regular Japanese salaryman, except for one small thing:
I secretly dream of becoming a global ninja. No, not the shuriken-throwing kind (sadly), but the kind who can sneak into any conversation in the world… with English!
Why did I make this category?
To be honest, I started learning English for one reason:
I wanted to be “that guy”—the one who can actually help people around the world.
Every time I saw global news or read about people making a difference, I thought,
“If I could just speak English… maybe my life could get a little more exciting, too?”
But let’s be real.
Working all day, then coming home exhausted…
Who the heck has energy left for study?!
Add in a baby (adorable, but LOUD), and my brain is already running on fumes.
My Daily Struggles (Sound familiar?)
- How do you even find time to study after work, when your sofa is screaming “Lie down!”?
- Which books or apps actually work, and which ones are just fancy doorstops?
- How do you keep going when you want to give up for the 57th time?
The struggle is real, my friends.
And yet, bit by bit, mistake by mistake (and with more late-night snacks than I’d care to admit),
I somehow managed to score 745 on the TOEIC.
Is that perfect? Heck no! The TOEIC gods still laugh at me.
But every step forward taught me something.
And here’s the thing—I bet you are fighting the same battle.
What is TOEIC, Anyway?
If you’re not from Japan or Asia, you might wonder:
TOEIC stands for Test of English for International Communication.
It’s the “boss battle” for anyone in Japan trying to prove their English chops.
More than just a number, it’s a visible way to track progress and boost your confidence.
Welcome to the English Ninja Dojo
That’s why I created this blog category:
The English Ninja Dojo.
Here, I share everything:
- My epic fails (yes, I’ve fallen asleep with grammar books on my face)
- My “secret” hacks for busy people (a.k.a. how to memorize vocab in the bath)
- Real tips, not Instagram fluff
I want to be your test subject—trying all kinds of study tricks so you don’t have to.
If a totally average Japanese guy can level up his English,
maybe you can too!
Let’s get stronger together, one stealthy step at a time.
Final Mission:
Remember, English isn’t the goal. It’s the tool.
Together, let’s use it to unlock a bigger, richer life and connect with the world.
If even one person reading this feels a little braver about their own journey, my job here is done.
Are you ready to join the English Ninja Dojo?
Let’s chase those dreams (and maybe a TOEIC perfect score) together!
Don’t just watch—come train with me.
Your adventure starts now!
